On 30 November we published an unconfirmed social media report that former president of the DLP – Dr. Ronnie Yearwood- had formed a new political party called the Democratic Freedom Party.
Both Dr. Ronnie Yearwood as well as former DLP Senator, Tricia Watson – who was also “implicated” in the social media post – have issued denials, according to a Starcom Network report which can be found here.
Ms. Watson has characterized the social media post as a fabrication, pointing out the obvious truth that Dr. Yearwood is not in the social media visual.
We hope this fact check -which will become a feature at BU – will help to mitigate any inconvenience caused to the individuals who were targets of the post on social media.
