European Commission President Asked to Resign over Ineffective Pfizer Vaccines

Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) from five European states have called on the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen to resign over her role in signing a contract with Pfizer for several billion doses of the Pfizer vaccine for countries in the European Union.

The countries represented are Italy (MEP Francesca Donato), Romania (MEP Cristian Terhes), France (MEP Virginie Jeron), 
Croatia (MEP Ivan Sincic ) and Germany (MEP Sylvia Limmer and MEP Christine Anderson).

Spokesperson for the group, MEP Cristian Terhes (Romania), explained the rationale for the group’s call in this video segment of their press conference after the visit of representatives from Pfizer and Moderna.
