According to the Epoch Times the EMA (European Medicines Agency) which is Europe’s equivalent of the FDA in the USA, has now come out in favour of the jab for children in the 5- 11 age group.
The Thursday 25 November announcement recommended use of a lower dose of the Pfizer’s BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine which is sold under the brand name Comirnaty.
Interestingly, the decision announced by the European Medicines Agency (EMA), cited Pfizer’s clinical trial data, which the company says indicates a 90.7 percent efficacy in preventing illness in the age group.
That is a strange decision considering the EMA’s requirements for vaccines which we discussed in our article WHO: No Greenlight for Children Part 2. It is even stranger considering the ethical questions around the Pfizer trials in the US as reported in the British Medical Journal and elsewhere.
Pfizer has a healthy track record of ethical miscarriages and malfeasances in relation to drug development.
In 2007 the Nigerian government unprecedentedly sued Pfizer for 7 billion for allegedly carrying out illegal trials of an anti-meningitis drug that killed or disabled 12000 children in the country.
In 2010, Pfizer paid out some 75 million to Nigerian families affected by the tragedy and the US supreme court rejected the company’s appeal against its decision.
Back in 2009 ABC News reported that Pfizer was fined a record $2.3 billion for illegal marketing in an off-label drug case. It was described as the “largest health care fraud settlement in history”.
Caveat Emptor!
